Over the past few years, God has really been refining us. He has been drawing us closer and closer to His heart, revealing to us that not only are we, as followers of His, called to help fulfill the Great Commission making His name famous among the nations, but we are also expected to follow Christ's example by making deliberate choices to care for the least of these here and around the world. This isn't an option, it is an expectation as His child. There is scripture after scripture about loving the poor... feeding, clothing, meeting needs and NOT ignoring the fact that HE surrounded Himself with the least of these probably daily. We can NOT escape this. We have even lost sleep over this... our prayers have been a lot of this..."What can we do? How can we do more? I KNOW we can do more. Please show us where/how you can use us to make more of an impact for your glory."
Knowing full well what this could possibly mean, and deep down being scared (although still open) of where He could take us, it didn't matter... we were just ready. We knew He had something in store, but for a long time we had NO CLUE what that was!! So many great opportunities have come recently and we are so thankful for God's direction and peace. Now we know! It is leading a ministry called "To Every Nation" or "T.E.N." It is a beautiful ministry that has been around for a few years, taking lovers of Jesus around the world to share the Gospel and minister in a variety of different ways to the least of these. Richard Hardy is the founder and a friend of Kent's. Never before have they had a staff member, but now they do! Kent is now officially President of To Every Nation and is LOVING it! We are praying actively about where God wants to take TEN, so please pray with us! Kent is of course excited but also overwhelmed at all that needs to be done. We are thrilled about what God is presently doing all over the world through TEN, and all He has in store!
The website... still "under construction" but you can get an idea...

Here are just a few words of Truth we can NOT ignore... and there are hundreds more!
"He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing." Deuteronomy 10:18
"Do not deprive the alien or the fatherless of justice, or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge." Deuteronomy 24:17
"When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. When you beat the olives from your trees, do not go over the branches a second time. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow. When you harvest the grapes in your vineyard, do not go over the vines again. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow." Deuteronomy 24:19-21
"Have I not wept for those in trouble? Has not my soul grieved for the poor?" Job 30:25
"The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble." Psalm 9:9
"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling." Psalm 68:5
"He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who is kind to the needy." Proverbs 14:21
"He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God." Proverbs 14:31
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27
"If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:17-18
