Building a Train... what!?!?!

Brooks had it in his mind that he REALLY wanted to "build a train". We had NO idea what this would entail, and had NO idea how we could actually make this happen... so trying not to crush his lofty dreams we kept putting him off saying things like, "Oooh, that sounds pretty cool! Maybe you could "build" one with our scrap lumber and then play in it in the backyard!" (Thinking pretending would be a GREAT fix!) but THAT was not cuttin' it! A few weeks later the idea is still in his mind but Mommy and Daddy still don't know how we are going to dodge this one. Daddy is talking with Mr. Eddie, our neighbor, trying to get an idea as to how to even start something like this, NOT expecting anything from him, and then he offers to help him build it! Now, Mr. Eddie isn't just a regular guy with a knack for carpentry... he is GOOD. REALLY good. He pretty much built his entire house (minus bricking and roofing)!!! So, of course Brooks and Brayden are BEYOND excited! Finally, they have started and here is the beginning stage... even better than we all imagined!!!
